Athens Metro –General Information
With 3 lines & 61metro stations, the trains run every 3 minutes at rush hours and every 5-10 minutes at all other times.
Hours of operation:
Lines 2 and 3 operate daily from 05:30 – 00:00 (05:30-02:00 on Friday and Saturday).
Line 1 operates daily from 05:00-00:30.
Useful tips:
While inside the train, announcements are made before every stop. Metro tickets are sold at the stations’ cashiers and by automatic tellers. Remember to validate your ticket before you move on to the platform.

Athens Metro -Getting to/from Athens International Airport to Athens Hilton Hotel
The Hotel is located about 20 km from the Airport (approximately 40 minutes).
Trains run every 30 minutes, 7 days a week from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and the cost of the ticket is 10€ per way.
Take Metro Line 3 (Aghia Marina – Douk. Plakentias – Airport) from Athens Airport and stop at EVANGELISMOS Metro station.  While in the station, take the left exit toward to VAS. SOFIAS street. Walk pass the Hilton Hotel (on your left and hand side).

Bus-Getting to/from Athens International Airport to Athens Hilton Hotel
All buses depart from the Arrivals Level approximately every 20’ min., between Exits 4 and 5. Airport bus tickets are available from the ticket kiosk and cost 6 euros for a single ride from/to the airport. The travel time from Athens International Airport to Syntagma  is approximately 60 minutes, depending on traffic.

Bus X95 “Syntagma – Airport” brings you to Syntagma. Exit the bus at the terminal station SYNTAGMA. Take Metro Line 3 (Aghia Marina – Douk. Plakentias – Airport) from SYNTAGMA Metro station & exit at EVANGELISMOS Metro station. While in the station, take the left exit toward to VAS. SOFIAS street. Walk pass the Hilton Hotel (on your left and hand side)

How to reach Hilton Athens

Hilton Athens is situated right in the heart of Athens and is easily accessible by metro, bus and trolley bus. It is also located at a walking distance from major hotels and many other smaller hotels. Commuting to and from the city centre and the Athens International Airport or other locations is quite easy:
» 35 min. from the Athens International Airport (
» 3-5 min. from the city centre.
Map Athens MetroBy Metro: There is direct access from the airport and the city centre to Hilton Athens with the metro. Both stations “Evangelismos” and “Megaro Moussikis” on metro line 3 (blue line) are in walking distance (3-5 minutes) from the Hotel.

By Bus: The following buses & express buses pass by and stop near the Hilton Athens

From the airport: Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” is located in Spata, 33 km southeast of Athens and serves all international and domestic flights. The airport is easily accessible from Hilton Athens and the city centre via motorway, express bus or metro. An average journey by taxi from the airport to the city centre should take approximately 35 minutes, depending on traffic, costing €38 – 50 (depending on the time of the day). The express bus line X95 (direction Syntagma) serves Athens city centre. A ticket for the airport express line costs € 6. The metro line 3 runs every 30 minutes from the airport (but not on the hour – for the exact schedule please check this link) and the trip to the city centre takes approximately 38 minutes and costs €10
