ISSLS Wiltse Lifetime Achievement Award
Call For Nominations
The International Society for the Study of the
Lumbar Spine will be sponsoring a yearly award for exceptional
achievement in the spinal field. This award will be presented for the
tenth year in 2009.
The nominee should be an outstanding individual scientist, clinician or basic science researcher who has made a major contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the field of spinal disorders.
The nominations for this award may be proposed by officers of
universities, hospitals and/or spine research institutions.
The nomination must be accompanied by a curriculum vitae, a biographical
summary (maximum 2 pages), a list of publications, and an outline of the
nominee's contribution to the field of spinal research (maximum 3
pages). Also included should be 2 sponsoring letters, one from the
individual making the nomination and one other from an individual
outside the nominating institution. Eight copies of the documents must
be sent to the ISSLS office in Toronto no later than February 1, 2009.
The award will be presented at the annual meeting of the Society in
Miami, USA, May 4-8, 2009.
