Day: Tuesday, May 15th, 2018 – ( 9-10 hours)

Spend the day exploring one of the most scenic highways in the world.  The Icefield Parkway offers an ever-changing view of waterfalls, turquoise lakes, alpine meadows, snow-capped peaks and glaciers.  Getting to the Columbia Icefield is a remarkable attraction in itself!

The Columbia Icefield is the largest sub-polar body of ice in North America and is one of the reasons why the United Nations declared Canada’s four Rocky Mountain Parks a World Heritage Site.  It covers an area of nearly 325 square kilometers, sometimes reaching a depth of 300-360 meters (1150 feet) deep.

The Ice Explorer Glacier Tour takes you onto the surface of the Athabasca Glacier in a unique, specially designed Ice Explorer. This Ice Age adventure is a once in a lifetime experience!  Caution is advised – the ice surface may be wet and slippery.
