The ISSLS Prize for Lumbar Spine Research
This year’s ISSLS Prize Winners
The ISSLS Prize program, sponsored by European Spine Journal, comprises three prizes of $20,000 US dollars each. Prizes will be awarded competitively on the basis of scientific merit in one or more of the following areas: basic science, bioengineering science and clinical science.
Papers submitted for the contest must contain original material, not previously published or submitted for publication. A multiple authorship is acceptable. The ISSLS Prize winning manuscripts will be published in European Spine Journal. All other submitted manuscripts will be considered for publication in SPINE, following the regular review process for SPINE.
ISSLS Prize form 2017
Written in English, should be in the form of a complete report, including original illustrations; not exceeding 2700 words – references and tables can be added; double-spaced; and in a form following the guidelines for online submission for the journal SPINE. Ethics committee approval is necessary for all animal studies as well as controlled clinical studies.
One copy to SPINE – by the web through the editorial manager http://spine.editorialmanager.com not later than October 31, 2016. You will find “ISSLS Prize” under “Article Type”. Accordingly, articles sent by fax will not be accepted. Do not forget to give complete addresses with telephone number, fax number and e-mail address. Winners will be informed in January 2017.
A copy of the manuscript submitted to SPINE should also be sent to ISSLS – email to firstname.lastname@example.org
One of the authors should be prepared, at her/his own expense, to come to the ISSLS Annual Meeting in Athens, May 29-June 2, 2017, to present the paper and to receive the award.
Please note: Submitting a paper for the ISSLS Prize is not an automatic entry to the abstracts for the upcoming annual ISSLS meeting. You must submit an abstract via the ISSLS web site (deadline November 15).
